PS..I was in the Marines once upon a time.

When I was a super boot at my first duty station in Okinawa we had all Vietnam Vets in charge. They were ALL as crazy as a "shit house rats" back at that time. We always feared, loved, and respected these men and women (mostly feared). They had seen things we could never imagine. Many of these vets were permanently damaged. Sunday Review Times Two - Seagal and Rockefeller

This Ain't No Game!

Ok..I am a Steven Seagal honk.

I am very biased.

I think the man is great and I am planning to watch every single one of his films in my lifetime. Forget climbing the Eiffel Tower in my last days on this earth ..when I die..I want to be watching all of Seagal's movies. Roll me out on a wheelchair springtime in the Luxembourg Gardens (click here) and put that DVD player (hopefully by then there will be cable/DVD wired to my brain..so tired of waiting for that!) and give me my Seagal!

Steven's new show "Lawman" is really good not great (yet). The show is getting better each week.

What I like most about the show is Seagal is just Seagal. He is not a international movie star, he is just another officer helping people in his community. My favorite episode is the one where he is helping a member of his team with his annual handgun qualification. Steven helps the officer pass his test and talks zen about shooting. Very Seagal.
I am telling you..get on board.

Aggressive Wealth Secrets

Ok..I said I was buying Eric Rockefeller's Aggressive Wealth Secrets..and..I did.

It really exceeded my expectations.

Listen, there is a lot of things in the course that are over my head right now. I am not a tech guy so the domains files and folders things were a little much. BUT I can really see the value and there are some really super clever techniques. Very high speed!

What was great was that as I was going through the course I finally understood what was going on with some of these other domains and redirects from my competition. Understood is kind of an overstatement..I have a much better idea. I know I will figure it out.

The course really is much much different than any course that I have had. I am super super pleased.

Two Problems, Moen?

I have two problems with the course. One problem I think is major..the other..just a problem.

Problem One

You have to buy the $70 upsell!

There is no way around it. Believe me, I like the option of not having to get the upsell..but..there is no point. All of the juice is in the upsell. I see the value of the continuity program stuff..but..the real value (so far) is the upsell.

Me? I think you should have to buy the upsell and bundle that with the continuity program (which under $5)..so..just charge me $80 to start.

I doubt if anyone is not going to take the upsell..but..if you did not take it?..I am not sure you would be super happy.

It would be like watching a Seagal movie without the sound. Ya!

Problem Two

This is the second time I have noticed the one time offer cart thing.

So, I am buying Ryan Deiss Undercover List Building (here is the webinar replay (click here) get on it) and I get to the checkout.

You know there is an upsell or two coming..and..I get both. Everything is standard in the internet marketing niche now. The first will be the videos..and..the second will be the coaching.

Fine. Let's get to it. Oh Wait..there is no price listed on how much the coaching program is going to cost me. I push the "add to cart" button to see how much it is..and..whoosh..I am out of the cart and I just bought the coaching program.

Listen, it was a dumb assumption to think the cart would be like Amazon where you can get in and out..but..is it really? Is it really bad to feel like a jackass contacting support seconds after your transaction to cancel what you just added to your cart..you pushed it right?

I just wanted to see the price!

Why is the price for coaching not shown?

Problem Two Part Deux

The same thing happened on Rockefeller's cart. No price for the coaching!

I am not saying I would buy the coaching..if the program really worked out I am sure down the line he would have me on the hook.

Just show me the damn price people! Come on!

Last Words

Christmas is coming. Give something back.

I helped adopt a family for Christmas and was shopping for them at Target last night.

It has been a really sucky week. I was banned from AdWords..I was unprepared and I got really physically/mentally sick. My income dropped significantly fast. Like almost zero.

When I was shopping for the adopted family last night I felt tight. I felt poor spending money on a family I did not know. At one time last night I really regreted adopting the family.

Huge huge mistake.

Don't be a dick like me.

Wake up the next morning and see what you bought for the family and know that the adopted family deserve it much more the you do.

I am blessed. I need to start acting like I am blessed. Your kids need to know they are blessed and that is the way your family does things. Stand for something. Give your time if you do not have or feel like you have the money.

Do something.

Be something.

Just When I Thought I Was Out..

They Pull Me Back In

Yes, Google let me back in.

I have to say..when I saw the area code 650 pop up on my cell phone..it made me smile. I was just happy to finally talk to someone at Google about my ban. All I ever really wanted to do was to just have my day in court.

The guy at Google was very nice. He asked a lot of questions and listened to what I had to say. I did have to do a lot of explaining about my campaigns. We were both very clear about what I could and could not promote now. There are some strings attached with my account. I do have to have everything go through a manual review for all of my new campaigns.

Lessons Learned

1. Stay away from anything that smells "Get Rich"

On Google Search I can not promote internet marketing products. Done. You would think that I would promote those products on the other search engines?

I do not think I am going to do it.

It is not worth the risk for me anymore.

I think it is just a matter of time before that gets shut down.

I read that affiliate were banned on MSN for pushing Grant Offers.

There is plenty of room for other people to promote all of that.

I will promote internet marketing tools on search..example PPC Bully (click here)..but..I am not going to promote products.

You will get banned from Google. You will have to explain to your family why you are such a dick to live with. I will not say I told you so..Your family and wallet will!

2. Spread Your Risk

This is one of the hardest parts that I really am going through. I lived and breathed Warren Buffett's advice:

“Put all your eggs in one basket and then watch that basket very carefully.” Alternatively, Buffett says, “Diversification is protection against ignorance.”

The thing is..I never thought I would get banned. I never felt like I was promoting harmful product (still do not).

Here it is..it is not my basket!

Different traffic (PPV,YSM, MSN)..Different niches (Astrology (not banned?) Tickets, Purses)..different offers (One time, Rebill). Spread Your risk!

3. Master things you can control

So many things.

Let me just put out one..List Building.

Well, from what I have been promoting it will be SEO. I know sites get banned all of the time..but..how about this prediction: All of the review and blog sites that are now being pushed (ya, look at your jammed mailbox) are blog generator software and review/bonus sites are next. Take the best parts of those courses and put it in to niches that are not "get rich"..and..get rich! Pick the right niches people! I am a super clean affiliate..I chose the wrong niche at the wrong time and was banned.

Functional is Beautiful

I love Tracking 202 Pro.

For someone like me that is not very tech savvy it has been a lifesaver. I was not very good at tracking every keyword (huge huge mistake) and Tracking 202 Pro makes that so much easier right now.

Better, if you subscribe to Tracking 202 Pro you also get Stats 202. Stats 202 logs into your affiliate accounts and gets your stats. I know how much time that saves me logging in and out of accounts. It has forced me to stop wasting time logging in and out during the day for minute to minute stuff (have you ever had a feeling that you just made a sale?..and..you log in..nothing..sucks!) Worse, I was wasting time on 1 Shopping Cart sites where the stats are not in real time..so dumb.

Fire Poi Pouch?

I have no idea what a fire poi pouch is (tactical corsets above)..and..what is the deal with all of those options on that corset? If I was to guess what Tracking 202's fire poi pouch is?..it would be the Export 202 feature. Export 202 has been great. I have been transferring out my banned AdWords campaigns and gently putting my campaigns in a place where they will be appreciated. I already emailed the new search engine some questions and they answered in a day. I am really happy about that. I would email Google and would be lucky to hear from them in days..now..I am asking for an appeal to get me back in..5 day wait.

I am not exactly sure why I want back. What a terrible relationship I have with Google. Treat me bad..I will come back..begging. Seriously..I am so done with Google.
I am Totally in the Wrong Business

I have been reading on forums how to get back with Google.

I have to lie to them.

I have to get a new address, new credit card (not in my name), log in with a different IP, and get a new computer (I guess they have some permanent cookies or something like that).

I am just not doing that.

I am tired of being scared to write Google and ask for service. I am disappointed that Google has not treated me better after banning me. Again, no communication. How sustainable is that business that treats it's customers so poorly and they keep coming back for more (and..how do I get in that business?).

I am putting my money and my brain somewhere it is appreciated. I am looking for new traffic sources and stop being so lazy.

Again, thank you Google for banning a fat lazy bastard like me.

I will have to hustle and it always makes me stronger and better..more commitment.

There is a total freedom of not having to deal with AdWords. I am looking at different traffic and different search engines. I am looking at those new things with fresh eyes. My god, how blackhat are some of those other search engine results? Too funny.

Please, go and look at the things you are advertising on Google and take that to another search engine..look at the results. You think you have an edge? Someone has taken your "edge" and taken it to a new level. Check it out. Get some new ideas.

I am not a really big Monty Python fan. Monty Python is funny..but..I think most of the fans really only thought it was funny because their friends thought is was funny. Python may not be as funny if you are not inebriated or you have a different set of friends now.

I regret leaving my other job. The game with my other job (career!) had changed in so many ways. I was smart to leave when I did. The money was not there..but..long term..I am not sure about my decision.

So many great things happened after I left my job. I do not regret those things..and..with my other job..I was such a dick..seriously..it was not a sustainable lifestyle.

I love PPC. I am not leaving this time. Google by kicking my ass out of AdWords did me a favor. I am comitted to PPC. I love my lifestyle now. I love learning.

I was just starting to hit a little bit of a stride with AdWords. I am lazy. I am fat. I expected Google to feed me for the rest of my life.

Start with Gauher's Chaudhry's report "The Insiders Guide to CPA Marketing Profits" (click here). This will help you look at other traffic. It is a great free report. See what feels right to you and your personality right now.

Let me say this about Gauher. I emailed him the day after I was banned from AdWords and asked him for advice..he emailed me an HOUR later and helped me with some great FREE advice.

He posted in his forum about people being banned. There were more than a few who were banned the same day. I did not feel alone. That was an incredible feeling.

See if your "guru" will write you back. Gauher did.

Here is a test for you. You know that guru that you are on his/her continuity program each month..write them. Anything. Just write them. See if they will answer you questions. If they do not respond..drop them. Drop them hard. I did. Gauher was not the only one I wrote. Gauher was the only one who answered.

Weed out your gurus.

I am amazed that money is still coming in right now while I am learning some new things. Make sure to add continuity programs to your mix of what you are promoting.

There are three campaigns that they include and are really good as part of the report. I promoted one of the campaigns they use as an example a little while back (let's just say you can not trademark bid on that campaign..who knew?) and it is a really good example.

The next report they have out "Borneo Profits" (I am kinda somehow liking the title of the report..I know I should not..kinda lame..but..) I hate to admit it..but..I really like this report.

I have always wondered how to start a campaign around Google Hot Trends. This report will show you how they do it. I really like it. This is a really good free line even if you do not use it at all. You should see how it is being done and apply it/the idea of it to another campaign. Go to the link above and sign up for that and they will send you this report.

I Was Banned From Google AdWords for Life! Are You Next?

Let's get it out there.

I was banned from Google AdWords for life.

No joke.

I just received the email from Google AdWords just a few days ago. I am finally coming out of my bunker.

I am a super clean affiliate. I have never done anything blackhat. If I told you my "edge" you would laugh and wonder how I am still in business. If you saw my keywords..ya..I only use exact and phrase..would think that this blog post should be in crayon.

Anyone who has been doing PPC for a small amount of time can guess what my PPC strategy is..and..it is super clean..super easy.

I promote internet marketing products. That was the problem..promoting internet marketing. How are you going to promote internet marketing anymore?

I still love internet marketing and will always promote those products. I buy them..I live them.

My biggest complaint?..

Google Customer Service. None. I am not told what sites I was promoting..or..what was my violation. Can I appeal?

I had a great Thanksgiving. I ate so much that I was actually sick the next day. Really great food and company.

I am truly blessed.

Finally Thankful?

I was reading a really great Thanksgving post by Alex Mandossian (click here). He listed 101 teachers that he was thankful for. 101! wow.

I felt like a total tool. I have so many people to be thankful for..my family and friends. I am not an easy person to live with day in and day out. When I saw Mandossian's list it blew me away. I almost could not think of a list of 101 teachers let alone people that I was thankful for on Thanksgiving.

How sad.

Really, I just never took the time to write down those people. I know now I could name over 101. It was a real eye opener to see those 101 teachers listed. I appreciate Mandossian writing my list because it really showed me how ungrateful for teachers/people I have had in my life.

I appreciate my family and friends so much. I am sorry I do not reach out and tell you that..no excuse.

I am Thankful for Steven Seagal

I truly had to do a double take when I was watching A&E. I rarely watch A&E anymore (Law and Order 24/7)..but..that will change. Tomorrow night A&E will premiere "Steven Seagal Lawman"(click here). I was like..What? Thank you baby Jesus.

The video is good..not great.

More than half of the video is proof..by proof I mean the usual..big house pictures and ClickBank screen shots..and..I get that..I do not know who Michael is in the affiliate world (I am actually really happy about that).

I really liked Constantinos' part on being organized..I am so not there and I am really looking at screen shots of being organized..very good example.

One of the best parts of the video Michael shows you one of his recent launches (FOREX) and the blogging hub that he has used for SEO. I think a lot more affiliate are going to be doing more SEO than PPC. (and..by a lot more I mean..um..me).

I believe Aggressive Wealth Secrets is going to be a really good..and putting my money where my mouth is..I am buying. I have seen some of the module subjects and some chatter and it is really good. The course has some super in depth affiliate stuff..and..the price is right.I know Rockefeller can sell..I see him on top at many to Joint Venture Contests. I would put down more of the subjects in all of the modules..but..I do not have permission to do that. The subjects are pretty good and really things that you have seen before but maybe did not know how it was done..very high speed. I would say underground (and it is)..but that is even too hypey for me.

PS..I was confused in the video about the launch date. In the video Constantino has the launch date as December 4th..on the JV Blog it has as the 8th. I will post more links to content if there are any more.
